2022 Shek Chung Shan Memorial Catholic Primary School 25th Anniversary — Tello Talent Swarm Drone Performance

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Shek Chung Shan Memorial Catholic Primary School, INSPIRE instructors participated in preparing the Tello Talent swarm drone performance for the school celebration.

During preparation, 10 Primary 4 to Primary 6 students completed an 8-hour course covering Tello Talent flight principles and structure, programming and controlling drones using the Tello EDU app on iPad, and rehearsing the anniversary performance. Each iPad's Tello EDU app can connect up to 6 Tello Talent drones for 'one-to-many' programmed flight. Students used flight commands and logic blocks in the Tello EDU app to programme drones to fly to specific positions and display content on the LED matrix screen.

During the anniversary swarm performance, students operated 18 Tello Talent drones using 3 iPads and 3 routers, displaying smiley faces, '25' and the school abbreviation 'SCSMCPS' on the LED matrix screens. The 18 drones formed the number 25 in the air following pre-programmed instructions, celebrating the school's 25th anniversary and showcasing what students learned throughout the course.
