2025 Yu Chun Keung Memorial College No. 2 — Drone Experience Workshop

To let secondary students experience the fun of drone technology, INSPIRE® held an English-medium drone experience workshop at Yu Chun Keung Memorial College No. 2 on 14 July 2025.

Workshop Flow

1. Drone Introduction

Instructors introduced drone basics including structure, science principles and real-world applications such as aerial photography, logistics and agriculture.

2. Tello Setup & Inspection

Students learned to inspect and set up Tello Talent drones for safe flying under instructor guidance.

3. Flight Practice

Students practised six basic flight skills including takeoff, landing, hovering and directional movement through simple tasks like square-path flying.

4. Low Altitude Economy Lecture

Instructors introduced low altitude economy trends and drone applications in aerial photography, environmental monitoring and emergency rescue.

5. Safety & Regulations

The final section covered drone safety rules and Hong Kong regulations including no-fly zones and emergency procedures.
